Diamond Crown Double Robusto #4 Maduro Cigars
The Diamond Crown Double Robusto #4 Maduro cigar is, quite simply, a rare gem that reigns supreme among mild to medium ultra-premium smokes. This exceptional cigar proudly claims its place on the throne as the product of two esteemed cigar-making legacies. Handmade by Tabacalera A. Fuente to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the J.C. Newman Cigar Company, it features Dominican tobaccos wrapped in an exclusive Connecticut fermented wrapper, resulting in an outstanding smoking experience.
With a robust 54 ring gauge across the line (with one larger exception), the Diamond Crown cigars deliver maximum leaf-packed flavor. When you first unwrap it from its protective cellophane, the color and aroma may suggest a light Corojo wrapper. This impression stems from the double fermentation process applied to the Connecticut wrapper, enhancing its complexity. Once the 5 1/2" x 54 is lit, any notions of spiciness or harshness vanish, replaced by rich, creamy smoke infused with notes of mace and buttered toast. As you progress through the cigar, flavors evolve, introducing subtle almonds and hints of exotic spices. In the final third, you’ll be rewarded with a luxurious finish of cream and nutmeg, rounding out a truly regal smoking experience.
Paired with a gin and tonic, any smoker can imagine themselves sitting on a palace balcony enjoying the finer things in life. Expensive when first released, the Diamond Crown's price has remained steady and is now comparable to similar cigars such as Ashton Classic and Zino Platinum Scepter. Try on the Crown. Enjoy the majesty.
