Davidoff Yamasa Toro Pack of 5 Cigars
It is rare to find something truly unique in the cigar business, where it sometimes seems as though every possible blend of different tobacco types has been exhausted, but the new Davidoff Yamasa Toro cigar is a bold stride into a new world. If you think that is an incredible statement, consider the fact that the name Yamasa comes from a region of the Dominican Republic initially not suited for growing fine longleaf, until Davidoff got involved. Through science, determination, and sheer hard work over the course of 20 years, the result is a robust, flavorful leaf perfect as both wrapper and binder to complete the decadent Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos that serve as filler.
As attractive as they are tasty, each richly brown Davidoff Yamasa, 6" x 52, Toro is subtly sweet through the nose and gives off hints of loam and cedar sawdust during a cold draw test. The tobaccos in the filler, cultivated in Esteli and Condega, add a characteristic Nicaraguan earthiness and spice to the original profile, while the Dominican Piloto and Mejorado do their part of melding the most robust flavors between layers of creamy leather and vanilla. However, it is the namesake Yamasa-grown leaves, both the San Vicente binder and the sun-kissed wrapper; that bring depth to the medium-full bodied smoke with the tastes of café con leche, almond, oak, and nutmeg.
Though undeniably a splurge, the Davidoff Yamasa Toro is worth every cent—a must-try for every aficionado at least once in their smoking journey. Why not make that moment now, while your better half isn’t paying attention? We’ll have them on their way to you faster than you can say “Yamasa,” ensuring you’re enjoying Davidoff’s signature richness in no time. Just be sure to order at least two—because once you light up, sharing won’t be part of the plan.
