Grown on pristine tropical soil and harvested only once every three years, this leaf is organically grown and truly unique in flavor. The tobacco plants are spaced further apart than normal—about a full yard according to General Cigar Co.—and once harvested, the leaves are rolled into tubes called carottes for six months of aging. Legend has it that the tobacco is then transported out of the rainforest via canoes—a logistical challenge as wild and untamed as the jungle itself.
To complement the Bragança’s earthy richness, CAO masterfully layers in tobaccos from five different countries, finishing the cigar with a dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The result is a bold, earthy, and complex smoke brimming with natural sweetness, deep spice, and rustic character—unlike anything else in the world of premium cigars.
