Cain Habano 660 Double Toro Cigars
The Cain Habano 660 Double Toro was engineered by the Oliva family during an era of high-profile releases—alongside the Serie V and Nub—specifically to capture the ultra-strong, heavy, and full-bodied market. This 6" x 60 Nicaraguan puro is a technical powerhouse, designed to push the boundaries of flavor saturation and intensity. Handcrafted at the Tabacalera Oliva factory in Estelí, it serves as the cornerstone of the "Straight Ligero" philosophy, utilizing a concentrated blend of high-priming leaves to deliver an unapologetic, heavy-duty smoking experience.
The blend consists of triple-fermented tobacco sourced from Nicaragua’s three primary growing regions—Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa—all encased in a spicy, sun-grown Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. This combination results in a profile that is devilishly strong and characterized by intense black pepper and earthy notes. With its massive 60 ring gauge, the 660 Double Toro produces voluminous clouds of thick smoke, intensifying the spice as it coats the palate with layers of charred oak, leather, and bold espresso.
Whether you are a seasoned devotee of high-octane cigars or this represents your first foray into such extreme strength, the Cain Habano 660 remains an exceptionally flavorful benchmark. Its construction is flawless, supporting the immense ligero content with a reliable draw and a remarkably slow, even burn. While the strength is formidable, the balance of rich tobacco sweetness and intense spice makes it a standout for those ready to take a walk on the dark side of Nicaraguan blending.
