Where the Maduro is smooth and cozy, the Habano greets you with a little pep, a sprinkle of pepper, and a toasty cedar note that feels like sitting near a fire you didn’t have to chop wood for.

As it settles into the middle, the Habano mellows into a beautifully balanced mix of warm bread, nuts, and wood. The pepper that hit you early eases up a bit, kind of how relatives mellow out after their third glass of wine. There’s a cheerful quality to it, bright but not obnoxious, like the one house on the block with tasteful Christmas lights instead of a yard full of half blinking, half glowing decorations that drive me crazy.
