Best Buys of 2018 Cigar Sampler - Free Shipping!

Everyone and their cigar smoking brother know about the Cigar Aficionado Top 25 list of cigars that are released every year. Fewer people know though that Cigar Aficionado also publishes a list of the best budget cigars. These cigars are all rated 88 or higher and cost less than $6 at the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price before local sales taxes are added. While we had to remove the Cuban cigars that are included on this list, since they are not legal for sale in the US, we are excited to bring to you a sampler of 10 of the Best Buys of 2018.

With this information, anyone looking to make their dollar go a long way can quickly put together a pretty good combination of sticks to stay busy for a while without breaking the bank. Sure, you could do your own research, sort through our massive list of cigar brands, and hand pick which ones look great to you, but here at Cigar Place, we take care to cater to the most intense cigar nuts. That is why we have compiled this impressive list of the best cigar buys of 2018 and included one of each in this phenomenal sampler. Brace yourself, as your head may be spinning as you try to decide which one you like most!

Our Best Buys of 2018 Cigar Sampler includes the following:

1 - Punch Natural After Dinner(Rated 93) – 7 1/4" x 54 – Consisting of a rich blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican Piloto Cubano tobacco and a Connecticut broadleaf binder. It's then finished with a toothy Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Starting off with a rush of cedar and earthy flavor, the smoke seems to dance on the palate to a melody of savory spice, white pepper, and hints of brown sugar and cinnamon. The finish is long and smooth with a definitive citrus note that has become a symbol of the original Punch blend.

1 - JFR Lunatic Habano Short Robusto(Rated 93) – 4 3/4" x 52 – The JFR Lunatic Habano Short Robusto is a medium-bodied Robusto made by Casa Fernandez. This handmade features an aged Ecuadoran Habano wrapper encasing a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler blend. You are sure to enjoy the mouthwatering notes of roasted nuts, coffee, and baking spice that the thick clouds of smoke will provide

1 - Foundation Charter Oak Connecticut Rothschild(Rated 93) – 4 1/2" x 50 – A Connecticut Shade wrapper and fillers from the Jalapa and Estelí regions of Nicaragua. Expect a creamy flavor experience with notes of graham cracker, vanilla, honey, oaks, and a cashew nuttiness from this mild-to-medium stick.

1 - Last Call Habano Chiquitas(Rated 93) – 3.5" x 50 – Loaded with a plethora of sturdy Nicaraguan tobaccos and topped with an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper. Using his considerable skills, Fernandez has packed an incredible amount of flavor beneath the surface. Each smoke is flush with toast, pepper, and vanilla from the moment it is lit. Time will seem to slow as the first half quickly ramps to medium-full strength with almond and char, with the second half developing into a creamy smooth experience providing oak and cocoa.

1 - Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc Corona(Rated 92) – 5 3/4" x 43 – Nicaraguan fillers are surrounded by an Ecuadorian binder and a gorgeous, golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The result is a similar flavor profile to the Reserva version, just toned down a bit. Gilberto Oliva Blanc is mellow, mild, and creamy, much unlike the powerhouse sticks the Oliva Cigar Company usually puts out. A solid draw produces silky smooth streams of cool, blue smoke, immersing the palate in a creamy array of earthy tobacco goodness. Notes of hay, cedar, and cinnamon remain present throughout, along with a crisp, clean finish.

1 - Gilberto Oliva Reserva Robusto(Rated 90) – 5" x 50 – Coming out of Nicaragua and seamlessly rolled in classic Oliva fashion, Gilberto Oliva Reserva offers a firm, yet very productive draw and a razor-sharp burn. Opening with a hint of white pepper and cedar, the flavor profile develops into a rich, earthy array of raw tobacco flavors mingled with cinnamon and spicy notes. Indubitably medium-bodied, Gilberto Oliva Reserva has a classic, luxurious feel that only Oliva can do so well.

1 - Padron Londres Maduro(Rated 89) – 5 1/2" x 42 - Rolled with 100% sun-grown Nicaraguan Habano tobacco which undergoes aging for a minimum of two and a half years. Beginning with a smooth, spicy Nicaraguan flavor, Padron Maduro carries subtle complexities that make for a very eventful smoking experience. Throughout the smoke, hints of chocolate, nuts, cinnamon, and cedar are just a handful of the nuances that make Padron Maduro such an incredible cigar. The finish is heavy, yet clean, and never harsh.

1 - Henry Clay Rustic Cheroot Panatela (Rated 89) – 5 5/8" x 38 - A modern cheroot with a pigtail cap and a closed foot, these cigars are wrapped in a dark Connecticut Broadleaf while a Honduran Broadleaf binder holds a filler blend of Dominican tobacco with a special, incredibly strong Honduran leaf known as Capa Dura. You will savor a rich and robust, full-bodied profile with notes of earth, coffee, wood, and spice.

1 - Nat Cicco Aniversario 1965 Liga No. 4 Robusto (Rated 88) – 5" x 52 - The espresso-colored Habano wrapper is flawlessly applied atop the juicy tobaccos within and displays a decent amount of both tooth and oil while smelling of rich cocoa. An excellent draw allows a freshly lit vitola to swathe the smoker's palate in almonds, leather, and a touch of black pepper. The second third provides welcome hints of allspice, citrus, and dark chocolate to blend with the earth and coffee that form the major flavors of the profile, while the final stages of this cigar culminate with a rush of cream, molasses, and toasted cedar.

1 - Brick House Double Connecticut Corona Larga (Rated 88) – 6 1/4" x 46 - The first Connecticut leaf is a juicy and flavorful Broadleaf binder utilized to contain the wealth of Nicaraguan longleaf filler at the core of each medium-bodied vitola. The second is a creamy Connecticut Shade wrapper which grants the smoke a cool, refined character. The aroma from each barrel is characteristically Shade, namely grassy with a touch of barnyard, but the Broadleaf binder does waft through with hints of cocoa. Beginning mild and sweet, a lit Double Connecticut delivers ample smoke containing the flavors of cedar, leather, nutmeg, and a touch of honey. The strength rises slowly throughout the straight, long burn, accompanied by walnut, espresso, bittersweet chocolate, allspice, and citrus.
