Produced at the Nicaragua-based Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A., also known as TAVICUSA, the Year of the Dragon is hand-rolled by some of the most skilled artisans in the world. Its blend is nothing short of extraordinary, featuring Nicaraguan fillers from Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa—Nicaragua’s most fertile growing regions. A touch of Honduran leaf from the Jamastrán Valley adds an extra layer of complexity. The cigar is bound with two Connecticut binders: one Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and another kept under wraps (Rocky Patel enjoys keeping a few secrets). The wrapper is a dark, oily, and aged Mexican San Andrés Maduro leaf, widely regarded as one of the finest Maduro tobaccos in the world.

The Year of the Dragon is available in three sizes globally, but for the U.S. market, a single 6 ½” x 52 toro is offered—and it’s a fantastic choice.
