While Ferio Tego Timeless Panamericana may be a relatively new cigar brand, it has actually been around for over a decade. Originally released in 2014 as an exclusive for the Nat Sherman Townhouse, the brand’s signature store located in Manhattan, this cigar became a nationwide offering just 4 years later, though still only at Nat Sherman retailers. Fast forward, and it is now a permanent part of the Ferio Tego portfolio, available for whoever wants it. Timeless Panamericana is produced by the skilled artisans at the world renowned Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Esteli, Nicaragua, and the original recipe remains the same to this day. That recipe includes a filler blend from Costa Rica and Nicaragua, a Nicaraguan binder, and a beautiful Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Old school appeal meets modern blending here, and the result is spectacular. So much so, in fact, that Timeless Panamericana has earned numerous 90+ ratings in Cigar Aficionado since its re-release.

The cedar chest housing the cigars is stunning. The cigars, each wearing black and gold double bands, almost appear too beautiful to smoke. The main band displaying the “Timeless” logo is quite reminiscent of the classic Nat Sherman version of this stick, and to anyone not paying close attention, they might think that’s what they’re getting. But low and behold, this Plasencia-made gem of a cigar is built for maximum performance, offering an easy draw and a razor-sharp burn every time. White pepper greets the palate with authority on the opening puffs, but the smoke soon settles into an earthy array of cedar, nuts, and rich raw tobacco flavor. A crisp backbone of spice holds the flavor profile together, and the finish is smooth and peppery.
