JC Newman may be known for their world-famous ultra-premium cigars, which, by the way, don’t come at a low price point by any means, but the good folks there understand that everyone needs something affordable from time to time, and that’s where sticks like Alcazar Maduro come in. Once a blooming brand named after a 19th century prize-winning race horse, Alcazar met its demise during the Great Depression, never to be heard of again for close to a century. Fast forward to the present, and none other than the head honchos at JC Newman decide to offer to buy rights to the brand. Some time was spent in the lab, and the all-new Alcazar Maduro was born. Made in the world-class JC Newman PENSA factory in Nicaragua, Alcazar Maduro uses a premium blend of Nicaraguan filler and binder tobacco. The wrapper is a near-black Connecticut Broadleaf maduro grown right here in the USA, and the finished product is all but a baffling prize considering its insanely low price.
