The Alec Bradley Prensado Robusto remains a true heavyweight in the premium handmade market, especially after the line earned global acclaim when its flagship Churchill shape was named the #1 Cigar of the Year with a landmark 96 rating in 2011. Rather than resting on those laurels, brand founder Alan Rubin and his team at Alec Bradley have continuously prioritized stringent quality control to preserve the blend's distinct character. Yielding a medium-to-full strength profile, the core consists of carefully aged Nicaraguan and Honduran long-fillers secured by a Nicaraguan binder, all encased inside a proprietary Trojes-grown Honduran Corojo 2006 wrapper.
Visually striking from cap to foot, the Alec Bradley Prensado Robusto showcases expert rolling quality with its gently soft-pressed 5" x 50 format. The reddish-brown Corojo leaf exhibits a sheen of natural oils, subtle veining, and a fine tooth across its surface. Once clipped and lit, this square-pressed Robusto releases thick, highly aromatic clouds of white smoke with an inviting room note. The opening puffs deliver a strong foundation of rich earth, cedar, and white pepper spice, which smoothly transitions into more intricate layers of dark espresso, salted caramel, marzipan, and roasted leather as the burn advances toward the final third.
Whether you are looking to revisit a proven classic or add a top-tier box-pressed smoke to your humidor rotation, the Alec Bradley Prensado Robusto offers an exceptionally consistent draw, balanced complexity, and a long, warming finish that satisfies seasoned smokers and newcomers alike.
