If you are looking for a quality budget stick that you can smoke everyday, look no further than the Nick's Sticks Connecticut Robusto. These cigars are modeled after the ones Nick Perdomo used to make in his garage and their branding reflects their origin. Nowhere on these boxes or bands will you see a Perdomo logo, but rest assured these Nick's Sticks carry the same quality traits of their more expensive brethren. These Nick's Sticks Connecticut cigars are comprised of Cuban seed filler and binder tobacco that is grown in the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua on the Perdomo farm.

These Nick's Sticks Connecticut wrapped cigars pack some serious flavor for some not so serious coin. Kicking off with lots of hay and and some sweet pinewood flavors, this cigar puts off a fair amount of fluffy, creamy, white smoke. This Nick Stick also allows the inherent pepper notes of the Nicaraguan filler leaves to shine through but they never overshadow the other flavors. In fact the pepper dissipates somewhere around the halfway point but occasionally shows up in later retrohales. Later on we come across some deep, for a Connecticut, earthen notes along with a newer creaminess akin to a Macanudo.

The construction on these budget sticks is indicative of anything but budget. They are well wrapped, filled adequately without overstuffing, and are even finished with a traditional triple cap. The draw on these is easy and free but not in a bad way. The ash is a speckled dark grey and it holds on for about an inch. Sometimes they flower and flake a bit but not often. The burn line is usually even and I haven't needed to touch one up yet.

These make great cigars for early in the day, with coffee after dinner, in the humidor for friends who socially smoke, and even as an every now and again smoke for the more experienced smokers. It is mild enough for newbs and complex enough for the connoisseurs. At the end of the day this is one mild to medium cigar that won't break your budget and would be enjoyable to nearly any smoker. Pick up a box for your humidor today.
