The Diesel Unholy Cocktail is another release from AJ Fernandez of Man O'War fame. The wrapper is an unusual but very tasty Pennsylvania Broadleaf with 3 year aged long filler from various regions of Nicaragua. The Nicaraguan leaves are known for their bold flavor and that is exactly what Fernandez was shooting for with this “Unholy Cocktail.” This cigar is only available in this 5 x 56 torpedo shape and it is a full flavored yet medium strength cigar.

The flavors explode from the foot before the cigar is even lit and it makes one antsy just to get it lit and smoked. The simple, single foot band just begs you to get right to lighting this bad boy. I took a good whiff from the foot and sneezed hard seconds later. The 1^st third of the Diesel Unholy Cocktail tastes like almond or cashew butter mixed with a fair amount of black pepper. The 2^nd third moves into leather, more creamy nuts, and an earthen flavor. From here on out the flavors are much of the same.

Bottom Line: This cigar is consistent, full of flavor, and harmonious. I was expecting more subtleties and flavor explosions but they never really came, still all in all another solid good cigar from AJ Fernandez.
