The Viaje 50/50 Red Label No 1 cigar was designed to showcase two completely different flavor profiles while smoking the same cigar. Viaje's website says that rolling these cigars actually take 3 times as long to roll as a regular cigar.

The wrapper on this Viaje 50/50 Red label cigar is a reddish brown corojo looking Nicaraguan leaf wrapper with what is actually two different binders holding together the two separate Nicaraguan filler blends. This stick starts as a mild bodied cigar and progresses into a medium-bodied experience for the second half of the cigar. The Viaje 50/50 is packed well though the foot seems a bit loose here with the cigar having a bit of give to it overall. A tiny pigtail cap finishes off the head of this cigar and appears to be begging for a cut.

More of a balanced smoke that the 50/50 Black label this Viaje 50/50 Red Label cigar starts off with flavors of woods, nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg in the first half. The profile then changes some highlighting the cinnamon and nutmeg while adding some cocoa and a leathery finish to end the cigar. Most people like the first half of the Viaje 50/50 Red Label and LOVE the second half.
