Frank Llaneza 1961 Pyramid cigars are truly the embodiment of a cigar industry giant. This cigar is consistent and reliable from first light all the way down to the nub. The Frank Llaneza cigar is an Ecudorian Criollo wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filled with some of the finest leaves found in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It is said that to obtain the consistent darkness of this Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper that Llaneza worked with the Oliva family hand picking only the darkest of leaves to be used on this cigar, only the 2nd to ever bear his name.

The flavors found in this Frank Llaneza 1961 cigars are on the Full-bodied side with notes seemingly all over the place. One might taste some cedar, pepper, earth, bitter coffee, oats, wood, wheat, anise, and more. The draw on these Frank Llaneza 1961 cigars is on the firmer side but it doesn't seem to affect one's ability to enjoy the cigar overall.

The burn on the Frank Llaneza 1961 cigar is an even one, even if it is also a very slow one. The ash is fairly solid and varies between different grey hues. The Frank Llaneza 1961 cigar encourages us to slow down, enjoy the smoke, and to take some time for ourselves. We hope you do just that when lighting up one of these sticks.

If you like cigars made by Punch, El Rey del Mundo, and Excaliber, this cigar should be the next one you try.
