We all know that the best cigars a company makes are the ones they make for themselves. This Alec Bradley Family Blend D3 cigar is filled with Honduran and Nicaraguan long fill, bound with an Indonesian leaf and a milk chocolate brown Honduran wrapper.

There don't seem to be any soft spots but I have felt a stem or two beneath the surface on some sticks. The medium veins seem to stick out on this wrapper but they don't affect the way the cigar smokes at all. The pigtail cap gives the Alec Bradley Family Blend a traditional look.

Prelight draws give us the creamy flavors of earth and nuts. Initial lighting and the 1^st third brings us a nutty, creamy, leathery flavor to it. Moving into the 2^nd third the leathery notes are joined by the woodsy notes that have made the Alec Bradley brand famous. The final third and the finish are a marriage of all the previous flavors in more muted tones.

While not as flavorful as the Alec Bradley MAXX or the Alec Bradley Tempus, this is a solid straightforward everyday smoke that most everyone can enjoy.
