The La Aurora 107 Robusto is another great cigar put forth by Guillermo Leon and Jose Blanco. These guys just continue to put out great cigars time and time again. This cigar is filled with both Nicaraguan and Dominican long fillers and wrapped with an oily, thick Ecuadorian leaf.

The La Aurora 107 cigar is triple capped and the wrapper leaf is veiny with fair amount of noticeable tooth. Leon and Blanco's goal was “to bring the smokers a medium-bodied, richly flavored, smoke with a fair amount of spice at a very attractive price.”

This is a medium-bodied cigar with a ton of spice, licorice, wood, and toasty flavors with what Cigar Aficionado calls “a minty finish.” The foot has a pleasant old leather bound book scent to it mixed with some heavier tobacco notes.

The cigar has an unusually long finish producing lots of smoke and a solid dark grey ash along the way. Take your time with this La Aurora 107 as speeding through it makes it burn hot and completely changes the flavor profile.

All told the La Aurora 107 is a good stick at a great price. Give the Lancero a try, it's a favorite around here.
