The Joya de Nicaragua Antano Machito cigar is a cigar produced by Tobaccos Puros de Nicaragua. This is a FULL-bodied, full-flavored smoke and is best enjoyed after a good meal not with your morning coffee.

The Joya de Nicaragua is a Nicaraguan puro boasting three different types of habano leaf all bundled up in a beautifully deep reddish brown, oily, thick, criollo wrapper. The cigar is firm with very few soft spots and has a well packed foot. The cap on this cigar is a little off but the others look just fine. The wrapper and foot put off scents of rich sweet earth and hay.

Upon lighting the taste of rich earth is the first flavor across your palate with a blast of peppercorns along for the ride. Over time you'll likely also taste some notes of cocoa and bold bitter coffee. The finish is that of anise or black licorice. This cigar is definitely a spicy flavorful one but in a smooth, melodic way, each flavor building and playing off the last.

The burn wasn't ever a problem, the ash held for a good 1.25” or so before falling off, and the smoke produced was average.
