La Gloria Cubana Artesanos De Tabaqueros Cigars
La Gloria Cubana Artesanos De Tabaqueros
The La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Tabaqueros cigar represents the height of the cigar rolling arts, utilizing two different wrappers in sequence; a creamy Connecticut shade near the foot and a flawless Ecuadorian Sumatra covering the final two thirds. More than just a gimmick, the good folks` at LGC wanted to create a memorable cigar that celebrates the best of the best of artisan cigar makers. To do so with such an unusual cigar would require the services of the most skilled ‘artisanos be tabaqueros’, and it was none other than General Cigar’s own Benji Menendez who personally selected the eighteen master torcedors who hand craft each amazing vitola.
The Connecticut Shade provides a cool and subtle mix of café con leche and cashews, but once the Sumatra wrapper is reached the body pivots to the medium-full side to provide creamy leather and a tongue-tingling black pepper. Starting out on the mild side, the strength of the cigar increases throughout, especially once the second wrapper is in play. However, those smokers capable of remaining upright will be rewarded with a completely unique and ultimately satisfying adventure through the experienced torcedor’s world. For a different take on the two-wrapper concept, try the pinstriped CAO America.
