Berger & Argenti Entubar CRV Cigars
Berger & Argenti Entubar CRV
After kicking down the door and knocking smokers in the head with the Entubar Quad Maduro and Entubar V32, the Berger & Argenti company released the Entubar CRV cigar to allow fans of milder smokes get in on the action. That's not to say the CRV, which stands for Connecticut River Valley, is a true beginner's stick as it still harbors the channel-like core of Nicaraguan Ligero that runs the length of the stick and doesn't stop until it's sticking out nearly half an inch from the foot. But, through the use of a shade-grown, #1 grade Connecticut wrapper, the CRV is able to offer a slightly more subtle take on the potent Jalapa and Esteli-grown long-leaf filler and binder.
Crisp and aromatic, the cigar is at once toasty and creamy yet laden with juicy citrus and rich spice overtones. As the cigar burns straight and slow, it is able to maintain a clean, refreshing profile all the way to the nub. A medium-bodied stick that does pick up towards the end, the Entubar CRV is a great introduction to the brand for any smoker looking for a unique and eye-opening experience while being able to remain standing. The tobaccos and construction method used to create the cigar ensure a limited supply but also reveal what can be accomplished when time and effort are used wisely. Pair with a ruby port for a fine evening's delight.
