Four Kicks Cigars
Four Kicks cigars are described best by the men that make them, Jon Huber and Mike Conder. They describe their cigars as artisanal quality that comes from a marriage of tradition and innovation. John and Mike cut their teeth running the show at CAO prior to CAO being sold to General Cigar Co. Being Nashville boys and finding themselves in the middle of a merger they chose instead to run off and found Crowned Heads, the parent company that produces Four Kicks and Headley Grange cigars.
Anybody that has ever been to Nashville knows that it truly is a music city and it’s not all about country music. In blending Four Kicks, Jon has long said that his inspiration behind the flavor for these cigars came from the Kings of Leon song “Four Kicks.” Jon and Mike drew from the song’s theme of rebellion, confidence and determination. These cigars taste very much the same. They are bold, complex and full of anger.
Medium bodied yet full of flavor with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, this combination makes for a steak dinner-like opening. Chewy, meaty and full of leather with a hint of black pepper on the balance that opens up and develops into a dessert course of sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking spices that makes these sticks seem like a full course meal. Pour yourself a few fingers of bourbon and drink your dinner calories instead.
