Jaime Garcia Limited Edition 2011
Jaime Garcia Limited Edition 2011
In early 2011 My Father Cigars announced that they were working on a limited edition extension to the popular and highly-rated Jaime Garcia line, named after the company's president, Jaime García, son of the legendary Don Pepín García. In July 2011 the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Limited Edition 2011 was shown off in the García's popular Toro format of 6 1/2 inches by 52.
There are a total of sixteen cigars per box, with fifteen of them featuring a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper on top of Pepin's famed Pelo de Oro binder and Nicaraguan fillers. One of the cigars features a natural Connecticut wrapper, a blend that might be used for the 2012 rendition of the limited edition cigar. Only 3,700 boxes were made, and given the success of the My Father Limited Edition 2010 and 2011, these likely will go quick.
For those that like the typical Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial profile, this is simply just an amped up version. The spice, espresso, earth and sweetness are all increased, making this an even fuller take on an already normally full cigar. Still, it's done with a smoothness and elegance that makes the power easy to enjoy. Flavor, body and strength are all full, yet still manageable. As far as 2011 goes, the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial is an sure contender for both most anticipated as well as cigar of the year, as it delivers the signature My Father flavor, with just a bit more, a truly fitting limited edition.
