Perdomo Champagne Noir Cigars
Perdomo Champagne Noir
Joining the already hugely popular Perdomo Champagne line are these maduro wrapped beauties, the Perdomo Reserve Champagne Noir cigars. These medium to full bodied and flavored cigars add an additional layer of depth to the Champagne line. The dark, oily triple fermented Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Maduro wrappers are thick, dark and sweet after having been aged in bourbon barrels. These cigars boast big flavors of coffee, cocoa and undertones of baking spices.
This is a Nicaraguan puro that uses similar tobacco leaves as those found in the popular Perdomo Reserve Champagne blends providing for a well-balanced and vibrant smoking experience. These cigars are a bit rough and rustic looking with thin veins, toothy in some parts but not others and wide variations of color within the same box.
The cold draw gave off notes of espresso and dried fruits with a wide open draw despite being a seemingly heavily packed cigar. The densely packed cigar help make for a really awesome ash however. The burn lines were mostly even and did not require any touch-ups. We're not sure how Perdomo can continue to produce great cigars like this and keep the pricing under control.
If you like the Diesels, San Lotanos and Rocky Patel Edge Maduros, these Perdomos just might be right up your alley.
