Originally released by Julio Eiroa in 2005 as a cigar for holiday gifting, the popularity of the cigar led to a re-blending in 2008 with more available tobaccos to allow for wider distribution. A Honduran puro, the Select contains a rich blend of well-aged tobaccos held tightly by a Cameroon-seed wrapper and kept in 21-count boxes.

The quality of construction can be appraised and appreciated after removing the black, red, and gold second band at the foot; the Select is flawless with a silky texture and firm body. Unlit, the cigar offers the dusty-sweet aroma and lip-smacking flavor Cameroon leaf is known for. Draw slowly with a soft flame for best results when lighting and be rewarded with balanced sweet spices and cedar.
