Torano Exodus 1959 Cigars
Torano Exodus 1959
The Toraño Exodus 1959 cigar is a serious cigar meant to honor a serious event, namely the escape from post-revolution Cuba by many of the families involved in the newly-nationalized tobacco industry. Many of these exiles would continue their trade in other countries, and current company president Charlie Toraño's grandfather did just that by restarting the family tradition of cultivating tobacco. To memorialize the brave first steps taken by the men who would go on to create the modern cigar industry, Charlie created a 5 nation blend of long leaf filler from Dominican, Honduran, Mexican, Nicaraguan, and Costa Rican sources to be layered into a fine Honduran binder and Nicaraguan Habano wrapper.
Firmly in the medium-full category, the Toraño Exodus 1959 is nonetheless recommended for experienced and novice smokers alike. The evolution of flavors and strength allows each aficionado to approach the cigar on their own terms, whether laid down before the final crescendo or taken all the way through the nub. A good humidor companion to the Xikar HC Colorado, this cigar is a fitting tribute indeed.
