The filler and binder consist of rich sun grown Dominican tobacco, blended by the legend himself, Carlito Fuente. The toothy light brown wrapper leaf sits beneath an upscale red, gold, and white band reading “Puro Sol,” Spanish for “pure sun.” As with all Ashton cigars the construction is top-notch and the draw is quite easy. The smoothness is indescribable from the very first puff and the thick, blue smoke is teeming with nutty and creamy nuances. The finish is subtly sweet and there is just a touch of spice on the back of the throat. Very well-balanced and easy to smoke.
