CAO Flathead Cigars
CAO Flathead is the newest cigar from CAO, made in Nicaragua at the Scandinavian Tobacco factory in Esteli. Inspired by grease monkeys and rock 'n roll, Flathead is box-pressed, flat-headed, and funky. All sizes are named after car parts, and the box has a removable top that can be used as wall décor. This hot new stick has Nicaraguan ligero fillers, a Habano Connecticut binder, and a dark, well-marbled Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Buckle up, because this hot rod gives one heck of a ride.
CAO Flathead starts its ignition with a strong, thick river of sweet, chocolatey flavor. The overall base is earthy, with just a few hints of pepper and coffee sprinkled about. As it evolves, a rich sweetness begins to dominate the flavor profile, giving bursts of floral and cocoa notes. Flathead is maduro and ligero at its best, with a wonderful mix of sweet, spicy, and strong.
CAO Flathead is not your typical maduro. It's complex, full-bodied, and blended to appeal to seasoned aficionados. Flathead pairs well with coffee, dark rum, and dark beer, and can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Comparable cigars include Oliva Serie V Maduro and LFD Double Ligero Maduro. CAO Flathead has without a doubt put CAO cigars back in the spotlight, as nobody can wait to get their hands on one.
