7-20-4 1874 Series

There are a lot of numbers in the name, but everything about the 7-20-4 1874 Series cigar adds up to a unique and mouth-watering experience. A brand reintroduced by tobacco shop owner Kurt Kendall in 2010, the 7-20-4 represents the address of the original Manchester, NH factory that produced the line: 724 Elm Street. And 1874 is the date the original brand began to be produced, which survived until the 1963. For this version, Kendall decided to stretch the boundaries a bit. The cigar is primarily comprised of Nicaraguan tobaccos with filler from Esteli and Jalapa, with the latter the region where the leathery Habano wrapper is grown. But it is the binder that is most intriguing, having been cultivated in the East Java region of Indonesia.

Medium-to-full in strength with a moderate depth of complexity and flavor, including a graham cracker sweetness, raisin toast, sugar cane, dried fruit, and spice, the 1874 Series will be best enjoyed by smokers with veteran palates, although less seasoned enthusiasts will still find much to savor and should not shy away. An excellent addition to the growing list of resurrected frontmarks, such as El Baton or La Palina Family Series, the 7-20-4 is a brand to keep your eye on.
