La Palina Maduro Cigars
La Palina Maduro
It takes a deep understanding of tobacco and the tradition of turning it into a premium cigar to create a classic, and Bill Paley proves he has what it takes with his La Palina Maduro. By drawing on the knowledge first garnered by his great-grandfather and original creator Samuel and grandfather William Paley, who used the power of radio to grow the brand back in the early decades of the 1900’s, Bill has crafted a smoke for the 21st century. And what a smoke it is, where a medium-bodied and robust blend of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo tobaccos is rolled beneath dual Honduran binders before being finished with a smooth Mexican Maduro wrapper.
The creamy smoke which bursts forth at the foot upon lighting works its way through the dense filler to emerge from the head full of warm spice that engages the palate right before the tongue starts picking up notes of molasses and oak. A morning cup of robust Jamacan or Colombian coffee and a La Palina Maduro combine to create the perfect start to the day, but you could just as easily end a long and strenuous workweek with this invigorating smoke and a coffee liqueur. It’s an excellent example of a modern Maduro with classic appeal in much the same way as is the Ashton Aged Maduro or San Lotano Maduro. Treat yourself and grab some now.
