J Fuego 777 Maduro Cigars
J Fuego 777 Maduro
The original cigar released under the 777 label was the J. Fuego 777 Maduro, a cigar that came to market in 2008. The line was released only two years after Jesus Fuego began his own cigar operations, a partnership with Nestor Plasencia at Plasencia's Tabacos de Oriente in Honduras. The idea behind the original 777 was to create a line that was a bit more affordable than some of the other Fuego lines, which at the time were relatively limited compared to their current state. Using a very dark Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo binder and Nicaraguan Criollo fillers, Fuego created a blend that captured the essence of a classic Maduro.
It's a full-bodied mix of everything. There's a noticeable pepper up front, a sweetness from cocoa, earthy notes, leather and towards the end, a growing creaminess. The 777 Maduro somehow manages to evenly distribute the various flavors to create an extremely balanced cigar. It's full flavor, medium-full in body and medium-full in strength. For the more experienced palate looking for an everyday cigar that doesn't compromise on flavor, construction or consistency, the J. Fuego 777 Maduro is an absolute winner that increases in complexity the longer it sits in your humidor.
