Tatuaje Avion Cigars
Tatuaje Avion
In the middle of 2011, Pete Johnson announced that he had created a side-project to his newly announced Fausto line. Fausto, which is based on the popular Tatuaje T110, also known as the Thermonuclear. Tatuaje Avion is an annually released box-pressed Perfecto version of the Tatuaje Fausto. Pete Johnson plans on releasing a new size every year, but all will be box-pressed Perfectos. Other than the branding, Avion is identical to Fausto. Both are rolled at Jaime García's My Father Cigars S.A., both using Nicaraguan binder and fillers with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.
Avion is offered in boxes of twenty with classic red bands contrasting the dark and thick Habano wrappers. For those familiar with T110 and Fausto, Avion is much of the same. It's a full-bodied, full strength and full flavor Nicaraguan powerhouse. Compared to the original T110 and Fausto, expect more pepper mixed into the classic Nicaraguan sweetness that made the T110 one of Pete Johnson's most heralded releases. Underneath the pepper, the Tatuaje Avion features the signature sweet leather, earth, cocoa and hints of coffee. For the Tatuaje fan, the inaugural release of the Avion is a must try. You've been warned.
