Fonseca Cubano Limitado Cigars
Fonseca Cubano Limitado
More known for their milder cigars, Fonseca has created a medium-to-full-bodied masterpiece with their Cubano Limitado. Have you always wanted to smoke a Cuban cigar but keep letting those pesky customs laws get in your way? The Fonseca Cubano Limitado is about as close as you’re going to get. Bended by the legend of the industry, Manuel Quesada, a filler of fantastic leaf from the Dominican Republic, a binder of strong Nicaraguan Ligero, and a beautiful dark and oily Honduran Habano wrapper perfectly mesh to give this cigar just the right amount of power and flavor.
A minimalistic band of black and gold truly makes the complex flavors which await a hidden gem ready to be unearthed. The smooth, oily wrapper with hardly a vein to be seen is the first hint at the quality found beneath. First light brings on a spiciness which quickly gives way to a creamy cedar flavor. The aroma on the Fonseca Cubano Limitado is just as enticing as the flavors. Almost perfect construction, we found a slightly tight draw for the first few puffs, but that quickly opened up to a fantastic smoke. While there is some debate on whether this cigar is medium or full on the strength scale, we found it closer to the medium end.
Fonseca’s Cubano Limitado may be the closest you will get to tasting something similar to a cigar from that island south of Miami. Flavor, just enough power, and near perfect construction is what you can expect from the master behind this fantastic stogie, and it is exactly what you will get. The smoky cedar qualities of this cigar meshed perfectly with a nice sweet barbeque sauce, and is perfect for the gatherings around the grill.
