Gran Habano Habano #3 Cigars
Gran Habano Habano #3
Gran Habano Habano #3 cigars are the most classic offering from George Rico out of his overwhelmingly popular Gran Habano lineup. Rolled in Danli, Honduras, these sticks were introduced in 2003 along with sister cigars Connecticut #1 and Corojo #5. They sport a bold filler blend consisting of tobaccos from Costa Rica, Mexico, and Nicaragua and binders from Nicaragua. They are then finished with a rich Nicaraguan Habano wrapper leaf that brings the whole mix together.
The dark brown wrapper is covered in veins. A firm draw brings forth solid and steady clouds of smoke, producing a meaty flavor profile with notes of caramel and black cherry. The finish is short and clean and overall, the cigar is very simple and basic—not too complex, nothing fancy, just a good, pleasant anytime cigar.
Because the Habano #3 is so simple in its flavor profile, it's a great choice for the golf course or just to relax after lunch. Medium-bodied beer pairs very well with it, and best of all, the price is very much on the affordable side. It is medium-bodied and great for smokers of all experience levels. Comparable sticks include Gran Habano Corojo #5 and Oliva Serie O.
