Camacho Corojo Cigars
It takes some serious courage to revamp a beloved classic, but Camacho has shown they have the fortitude necessary by re-blending their famous Camacho Corojo cigar. They didn’t stop there, either. Pushing the limits ever further, the company has pared all of their core frontmarks down to six styles and completely redesigned the banding and packaging for each. The result is a tightly focused brand more than ready and willing to compete for the palates of full-flavored fanatics everywhere. The tweaked Corojo cigar still features 100% Corojo tobacco from stem to stern, but the wrapper is now a proprietary leaf from the very top of the plant, or the fifth priming. The binder is ligero while the filler is comprised of leaves from three different primings to maximize the range of flavors possible.
Billowing clouds provide the smoker with plenty of white pepper and cedar from the beginning, ready to ramp up the experience with a malted sweetness and black soil earthiness as the first third comes to an end. Some nutmeg-like spice makes an appearance during the second third, and the final stages are awash in cocoa and currants. If you liked the original version of this cigar, you’re guaranteed to love this one. Intense in every aspect of its character, the new Camacho Corojo should not be attempted without adequate preparation. Eat well, grab a stiff pour of a cask strength and smoky Scotch, and sit back with your feet up and a good game on the TV. Check it out now!
