Camacho Corojo Cigars Manufacturer Samplers
Camacho Corojo is a cigar that is a must-have in any strength junkie's humidor. The brand was founded in 1961 by Cuban exile Simon Camacho, only to be taken over years later by the Eiroa family, and headed by the “Master of Strength” himself, Christian Eiroa. All tobacco is grown on Tobaco Jamastran, the family's farm in the fertile Jamastran Valley in Honduras. This cigar is a puro made of completely of authentic Cuban seed corojo tobacco—wrapper, filler, and binder.
The rustic and oily reddish brown corojo wrapper is simply beautiful. The draw is easy and brings forth volumes of dense white smoke. Camacho Corojo opens up with a tsunami of ultra-intense white pepper, which is a signature of Christian Eiroa. It then smooths out into a balanced array of spicy and earthy flavors with a very pronounced spice on the back of the throat. The flavor is Cuban-esque, but the strength is absolute insanity.
This is one of the most potent cigars in the world and should never be smoked on an empty stomach. It's definitely not a good choice for a rookie, but for experienced connoisseurs who like powerhouse sticks, it's a dream come true. Heavy beer makes a good pairing with this stick or maybe a full-bodied bourbon. Similar sticks include Camacho Coyolar and Don Pepin Black. Camacho Corojo was an instant classic from its inception and will continue to blast away cigar lovers the world over.
