Illusione Rothchilde Cigars Cigars
When you think of value sticks, one of the last names you will think of is Illusione, but Dion Giolito always like to push the envelope and his Rothchildes will change the way you think about five-dollar cigars. Made in Esteli, Nicaragua, this wonderful cigar is filled and bound with amazing Nicaraguan tobaccos and wrapped in a rustic Mexican San Andres leaf. At this price point, this medium-to-full bodied stick is always a good cigar to have on hand not just to smoke but also hand out amongst your friends. The only problem we have with this cigar is keeping them in stock.
The red, white, and gold band has a retro feel, and the rustic nature of the wrapper gives you a feeling of nostalgia as well. The first thing you will notice is the amazing aroma this cigar gives off before you even torch the foot. A strong floral note mingles in the air with a tinge of cedar and leather. The taste is just as tantalizing as you go from beginning to nub. Citrus mixed with a sweeter spiciness than you would expect from a cigar from this region will play games with you palate as you take each puff.
The five-dollar and under market seems to be coming into full swing with the Illusione Rothchildes, Tatuaje Tattoo, and other brands looking to fill this market. This breath of fresh air for your wallet doesn’t mean you have to take a step back in quality one bit. This cigar smokes like a much higher priced stick and is well-deserving a spot in your humidor. At this price you can officially call an Illusione your everyday stick and not have to worry about it.
