Torano Vault Cigars Cigars
The basic recipe for the Toraño Vault cigar had been sitting in a blending book in a safe deposit box (called, naturally, the Vault) since the year 2000. When it was first conceived, it was just one of a vast number of blends stretching back to 1982 recorded in the book, some of which became internationally known while many were never developed because they failed to meet Charlie Toraño's expectations. After revisiting the book recently he made the fateful decision to resurrect the Vault, then identified only as blend A-008, to try and bring it up to par by adding a second binder from Ometepe to the existing Honduran Jamastran. This simple change, along with the original filler and shade grown Colorado wrapper from Nicaragua, were enough to ensure a resounding success.
A medium to medium-full experience, the Toraño Vault can be appreciated by any smoker who prefers wide-open stogies. Like the unapologetic Casa Magna Oscuro, the tastes presented by the Vault are up front and confident, secure in their abilities to unlock the appreciation of the most jaded of aficionados.
