J Fuego Sangre de Toro Cigars Cigars
J Fuego Sangre de Toro
The J. Fuego Sangre de Toro is one of the most popular selling cigars in the J. Fuego line-up. After years of working to craft some of Rocky Patel's highly acclaimed blends, third-generation tobacco man Jesus Fuego left to start his own company, J. Fuego, in 2006. A year later he introduced the Gran Reserva Corojo No. #1, the first major step in cementing Corojo with Fuego. Since then, Fuego has introduced a handful of highly-acclaimed lines featuring Corojo, expanding to include the Corojo puro "Origen" and many more since.
Sangre de Toro translates to “Blood of the Bull” and use of the corojo leaf here is dominant for sure. These Sangre de Toro cigars feature Nicaraguan Colorado wrappers, Nicaraguan Corojo binders and Nicaraguan Colorado and Corojo filler tobaccos. As strange as it sounds and our Ninja swears she isn’t the only one, these cigars have a distinct dill/pickle aroma at the foot. Mouth warming peppers, hearty, head-clearing woods and sweet-smelling earths are the main flavors with nuts, herbal, floral notes and cocoa caramel swirls appearing at times for the seasoned palate. Dark ash and great smoke production adorn the well-made Honduran cigar, but you'll remember the 90 point Sangre de Toro for more than just the pretty yellow, black and blood red band.
