La Riqueza Cigars
La Riqueza
La Riqueza, the Spanish word for wealth, is yet another brand line within the Tatuaje family. Pete Johnson enlisted the blending expertise of Don Pepin Garcia for all of his Tatuaje releases and the La Riqueza is no exception. This cigar has a naturally dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper that apparently comes from the Oliva Tobacco Company in Nicaragua. It is a rough, veiny, thick wrapper that is often used as a binder instead of a wrapper due to it's rough appearance. The La Riqueza is also a box pressed cigar featuring a traditional Cuban triple cap as is the case with most cigars rolled by Pepin's factories.
In early releases of this cigar, the final third of the La Riqueza was a little harsh as it burned down but it wasn't unpleasant. That seems to have been solved now that the cigar has been out for awhile but I still recommend giving these some time to age. You will definitely benefit from doing so. Still all in all this is one more solid release from the team of Pepin and Johnson. Does everything they touch turn to gold?
