It's one of the lighter cigars made a Tabacalera La Flor S.A., but don't pass the La Flor Dominicana Reserva Especial off for a mild cigar. It's made in a variety of shapes including the popular El Jocko (4 1/2 x 54), Tubo No. 100 (6 1/2 x 49), Tubo No. 200 (6 x 44), Robusto (5 x 48), Belicoso (5 1/2 x 52), Figurado (6 1/2 x 52) and Churchill (6 7/8 x 49) and has been a staple of the La Flor line-up since its introduction. Reserva Especial has an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and Litto Gomez's famous Dominican filler.

It's known for brining nutty and woodsy flavors to the palate, classic Connecticut. There's a touch of pepper, but it's unlike any other LFD and unlike most Connecticuts. It's medium in strength, medium-full and body and medium-full in flavor. For many LFD fans this will be a change of pace and for many just getting started, an introduction into the works of Litto Gomez.
