Alec Bradley Prensado Cigars Accessories
Alec Bradley Prensado
Along with Tempus and Family Blend, Alec Bradley Prensado completes the trifecta of highly-rated lines under the Alec Bradley name. Gaining a 93 from Cigar Aficionado might have been the highlight for Prensado, but the real importance is the wrapper, Corojo 2006 grown in Trojes, Honduras. The Trojes tobacco can be found in almost all of the Alec Bradley lines and has garnered numerous ratings since its introduction. In 2011, Alec Bradley introduced the Double T, a massive 6 x 62 Toro, to the line-up bringing the total offerings under the Prensado name up to six box-pressed sizes, joining: Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46), Robusto (5 x 50), Churchill (7 x 48), Gran Toro (6 x 54) and Torpedo (6 1/8 x 52). Made at the legendary Raíces Cubanas factory, the same Honduras factory responsible for Illusione, Padilla and Viaje, Alec Bradley Prensado takes the Trojes-grown Corojo 2006 over Nicaraguan and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers.
The roots of Alec Bradley in many ways can be found in Tempus. It's rich coffee, earth, a touch of leather and a defining pepper. It's not the most complex cigar in the world, but the flavors develop throughout, building on their position from the prior third. Upon introduction, Prensado was the strongest cigar in the Alec Bradley portfolio at medium-full, but things have changed now. Still, if you are expecting this to be a mild cigar, you are in for quite a surprise.
