L'Atelier Cigars

L'Atelier Cigars

Once you taste a L'Atelier cigar, it wouldn't matter if it was rolled by a cave-dwelling, three-eyed torcedor with dirty hands and a drooling problem. Fortunately, instead of coming from persons and parts unknown, the Miami-based L'Atelier Imports company from which it hails is the latest venture of blend-master Pete Johnson, one-half of the reason Tatuaje and Cabaiguan cigars are so highly prized. The other half of that equation is Jose 'Don' Pepin and he's involved here too, with his My Father Cigars factory producing each of the three Cuban-inspired vitolas. Could it get any better? Yes, since the Oliva-grown Ecuadorian leaf that caps Pete's wickedly flavorful mix of Nicaraguan tobaccos is the new 'Sancti Spiritus', a hybrid of Criollo and Pelo de Oro. (See more popular Nicaraguan cigars)
