In 2010, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr., the architect behind the success of the modern La Gloria Cubana, introduced the E.P. Carrillo Core Line, and announced that a Connecticut cigar was to follow shortly. What Ernesto didn't tell the world was that he was going to try to reinvent the perception of Connecticut shade wrappers. The man that redefined Maduro named his newest line NWC, New Wave Connecticut. The result was a Dominican-made cigar that features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers offered in five sizes: Briliantes (5 x 50), Stellas (5 1/8 x 42), Divinos (6 x 52), El Decano (6 x 60) and Gran Via (7 x 49).
