Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary - The cigar line is a medium to full bodied smoke featuring rich toasty notes of spice, cocoa and espresso beans accompanied by a lingering sweetness with a long full complex finish. This cigar features an Ecuadorian wrapper that is chock full of Nicaraguan leaves. These cigars were made in honor of the company's 15th Anniversary which is somewhat obvious given the cigars name. The Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Torpedo and the Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Toro both received a score of 92 points from Cigar Aficionado magazine. The Toro was also listed #19 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 List for 2010.
Rocky Patel 1961 Cigars - This 90 point full-bodied cigar was created to commemorate the birth year of founder Rocky Patel. It boasts a habano seed wrapper imported from Ecuador while filled with Nicaraguan leaves and bound by a Honduran leaf. These ingredients come together to create a cigar that’s known for its earthy, coffee smoothness balanced by a blending of sweet and spicy flavors. The Rocky Patel 1961 Robusto is the favorite vitola of the staff here at Cigar Place.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 - While this cigar has a dark wrapper, it actually features a medium-bodied taste. The Vintage 1990 is noted for being rich, smooth, and complex with notes of creamy coffee flavors, nutty undertones and a hint of sweetness. This extremely well balanced cigar has twice been named to Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 List. The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto is the preferred vitola in our smoking group.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990/1992 Seconds - These killer bundles are comprised of either 15 Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 cigars or Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 cigars. These are technically Seconds but honestly, I can't find anything 2nd about them. The wrapper shades in each bundle may be slightly different from one another but all in the same range as the firsts. An amazing bargain for those folks who don't always need another cigar box. We seem to sell more of the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Toro cigars than any of the others. The most popular of the 1992 line is the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Robusto.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 - This cigar boasts a toasted nutty aroma complemented by sugary Cuban coffee and the sweetness of dried fruits. Considered a true medium-body cigar, the Vintage 1992 boast a 10-year-old Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with 8-year-old fillers to produce one of the best products in the impressive Rocky Patel cigars line. As far as this semi-pressed cigar line is concerned the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Petit Corona , the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill and the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Torpedo cigars have all been rated at 90 or above.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 - This fine cigar features the oldest true Connecticut shade wrapper available. It is a complex smoke that is mild, smooth, and creamy with hints of cedar. It is a medium bodied smoke that shares with you many nuances not found in other Connecticut wrapped cigars. With Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers and a Nicaraguan binder, the Vintage 1999 is an excellent selection. We recommend the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Petit Robusto.
Rocky Patel Cameroon Especial - With the economy and tobacco taxes hitting everybody hard these days more and more companies are coming out with budget/bundle smokes. These Cameroon Especials are the Rocky Patel answer to our dilemma. A mild-medium smoke coming in at under $3 a stick these bundles make for a great everyday smoke.
Rocky Patel Decade - The Rocky Patel Decade is a medium to full bodied box-pressed smoke. It is smooth, rich & complex with full rich flavors consisting of dark spice, black cherry, roasted coffee with a light dose of pepper. The Rocky Patel Decade is a well-balanced cigar with a long full finish with that leaves with us a pleasant lingering sweetness. The Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo has been awarded multiple 95 point ratings from Cigar Aficionado. A score of 95 puts this score among the best of the best.
Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada - The Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada takes the filler and binder blend of the Rocky Patel Decade and slaps the remaining Pennsylvania Broadleaf from the Winter 2009 blend on it. This unique combination makes for a very different cigar. The prevalent tasting notes here are sweet coffee, a darker semi-sweet chocolate, dried fruits, earth, and a dash of pepper for balance. The winning size around here seems to be the Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada Toro.
Rocky Patel Fusion - A hybrid of the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 and the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 this Rocky Patel Fusion brings us the best of both worlds. Subtlety is the key word here as the flavors present require that you play close attention to them. If you do you'll be rewarded with notes of spice, chocolate, and earth. We have a very limited supply of this cigar. Rocky Patel fans should pick up one of our last boxes before they are gone.
Rocky Patel Java - The Rocky Patel Java is a mildly coffee flavored cigar made for them by the crew at Drew Estates. This is a great cigar for mornings, with or after dessert, when introducing your wife to cigar smoking, or when surrounded by friends who don't smoke. The aroma on these cigars is very pleasant and unlike the typical “stinky” cigar smell non-smokers complain about. For a completely unique experience give the Rocky Patel Java Wafe a try.
Rocky Patel Java Latte - The Rocky Patel Java Latte takes the Java to the next level by adding a caramel and milky creaminess to an already delicious chocolate and espresso flavored cigar. For all the reasons we love the Java we love the Latte more. Probably the lightest and sweetest among infused cigars made by traditional cigar companies, this is an excellent entry stick for non-smokers and makes a great break from the norm for daily cigar smokers. The Rocky Patel Java Latte Corona is a great size for a short quick smoke break.
Rocky Patel Java Mint - The Rocky Patel Java Mint is the newest cigar in the Java lineup. It was released at the IPCPR tobacco trade show in July of 2011. A cross between the Rocky Patel Java and a York Peppermint Patty, this is one interesting cigar. The Rocky Patel Java Mint Robusto is our favorite.
Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Corojo - This is one of the most sought-after products in the Rocky Patel cigar line. This blending of fine tobacco is famed for its rich, full-body flavor. These cigars medium to full bodied; the corojo version has notes of spice & pepper with a solid wooden and nutty core with a sweet cream and mineral finish. Like the Maduros the Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Corojo Torpedo is the highest rated standout. For those who don't like torpedos, we recommend the Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Toro.
Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Maduro - The Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Maduro is the medium to full bodied sibling of the Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Corojo. This maduro version is very rich with notes of dark chocolate & spice with some lingering sweet notes on the finish. The Rocky Patel Old World Reserve Maduro Torpedo is the winner here garnering a rating of 92 points and a Top 10 of 2009 ranking from Cigar Aficionado.
Rocky Patel Renaissance - This is a medium to full bodied cigar that maintains a silky smooth profile thanks to an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. It boasts rich flavors of spice, cedar, cocoa and coffee with a hint of fruity sweetness. The Rocky Patel Renaissance Robusto is both our best selling size and a great value.
Rocky Patel Sungrown - This peppery flavored product is one of the most favored in the Rocky Patel cigars line. Balancing out the pepper blast is the distinct flavor of charred wood, nuts, even, get this, aromatic earthy tobacco. It features a sun grown wrapper from Ecuador that is aged five years. The Rocky Patel Sungrown Petit Corona makes for a quick, unique smoking experience.
Rocky Patel Edge Lite - This mild to medium-bodied Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapped cigar is a superbly smoother, creamier, version of the Rocky Patel Edge Corojo. Rocky Patel Edge Corojo - This medium to full bodied cigar is one of the highlights in the Rocky Patel line. These are Nicaraguan bound and Corojo wrapped cigars with a “secret” filler blend. These sticks are full of spice, bitter espresso, wood, and cocoa with a long dry peppery finish. The Rocky Patel Edge Corojo Toro is the one in the Edge lineup that we have the hardest time keeping on our shelves. Though, the Rocky Patel Edge Missile Torpedo Corojo is an interesting sized smoke to try.
Rocky Patel Edge Maduro - This very popular extension to the Rocky Patel Edge line is a medium to full-bodied smoke that is meaty, hearty, and smacks of hickory notes. There is a touch of sugary sweetness with a creamy, earthy finish. The Rocky Patel Edge Toro Maduro is the clear winner based on the number of orders we process for them.
Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra - The Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra is made for them by the Plasencia Family at the El Paraiso factory. This is a Nicaraguan filled and Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper. It is strong and spicy with notes of wood and ground pepper. Though not a limited production cigar, these are sometimes hard to find on a regular basis. Cigar Aficionado rates them a 91 and the Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra Toro made their Top 25 list of 2007.
